A Week of Winning, Master of All Trades and Plant-Powered Healing

Welcome back to another week of Good Rising Cacao and let me tell you, we have had a brilliant week! So many great conversations, easeful factory days, epic wins and fun adventures.

Given the warmer weather we’re experiencing in the southern parts this weekend, we recommend grabbing an iced cacao for this episode, try something new and park yourself in the afternoon sun for a community check in.

Frankston Beach

We kicked off the week with a spontaneous visit to the market being held at My Place in Frankston. We went with the intention of catching up with some friends and left feeling totally blissed out after an hour long sound healing by the wonderful Regina Orchard who specialises in sound healing with plants. Neither of us have ever received this experience but after our journey with Regina, we cannot recommend it highly enough. Not only is Regina a wonderful, calm and welcoming woman, she has a wealth of knowledge and connection in the world of sound healing with plants. So, how does it work?

Each plant is connected to Plant Music Instruments and the devices channel the energy of the plants through an interface so that we can hear it. Depending on the instrument settings selected, that energy is adapted to different frequencies and tempos to become music.

Our experience of it all was quite profound and we both felt ourselves enter into a trance like state very quickly. Tuning in to each plant and the sound being transmitted through the devices was unique and also very familiar. Moments of pure symphony and then moments of absolute noise chaos and yet, it all sounded so magical. A gentle, all encompassing wave of beautiful frequencies to float on and venture into our own internal worlds.

It is an experience not to be passed up if it comes into your field and for those in the Mornington Peninsula area, head along to one of Regina’s fabulous sessions, held every Tuesday in Frankston, book HERE.

Growing up I often heard the saying, ‘A jack of all trades, a master of none’ and as I wandered through life, experiencing all that this wild and wonderful physical plain has to offer, I found myself embodying that belief to the detriment of my own exploration. Fixated on music but desperately wanting to explore photography or pottery or whatever else seemed fun and intriguing but never allowing myself to go down those avenues for more than a minute because mastering something was the key to success right? Well, no and here’s why.

Through my journey, I became known as someone who started things but never finished them. Now that I’ve evolved into the multifaceted being that I am, I realise that I did in fact finish everything I embarked on to the extent in which was required for me. Let me elaborate.

When we embarked on the journey of Good Rising Cacao, we had no idea what we were heading into and one of the greatest gifts has been the continuous zooming out on our lives to be able to see ourselves in a far deeper perspective. This zooming out is where we realised that everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - that we have learnt was gearing us up for the experience we are having right now. There are so many tiny elements we have gathered in our tool belts throughout our lives that at the time seemed like something half learnt (jack of the trade you could say) that has allowed us to be the masters of our current realities.

Everything we do, no matter how small or unfinished it may seem is relevant and more often than not we have no idea why we are even doing the thing we’re doing but at some point on our timeline, it will all make sense. The key here is to trust. Everything is always working out for us and whether we are aware of it or not, we are being guided by an infinite source of energy far greater than most can conceive so no matter what is going on for us, to see it as a divine and perfect gift on our journey really does create a better experience.

As we begin our journey into a new earth, a jack of all trades is the master of their own reality. We have evolved as a species and being confined to one sole purpose is limiting. We are here to create and to be the greatest creators we can be, we must allow ourselves to follow the trail of joy, excitement and fun and sometimes that means dropping whatever it is we have been focused on for a while (or our whole life) and go forth into a new direction.

It’s about learning to feel the moment when we are finished, when we have learnt all that we came to learn from the experience - then we get to ask, what’s next?

Frankston Pier

Winning was a theme for us this week and here are our biggest ones;

I (Kate) released new music into the world which you can listen to HERE. I am SO proud of these babies and super excited to let them fly into the world. I have spent 4 years birthing them and never in my wildest dreams did I envision them being my entry into Drum & Bass but here we are! Talk about Jack of all trades.

We had the BIGGEST win in the factory, producing a whopping 45kgs of cacao with absolute joy and ease. It’s been a wild journey creating many different versions of machinery to do what we require and this week felt like a dream come true. Our fridges are now packed full of cacao, ready to be shipped out to YOU.

Our sale was a daily celebration and we want to thank everyone who got on board, you all rock and we are very very grateful to have this community that is growing every single day. We will absolutely be running more sales, we had such a fun time connecting with everyone and seeing so many new names pop up on our order forms. What a joy!

Good Rising Cacao

Telling our story and sharing the people behind this wonderful company is important to us so we ventured into a beautiful new home and the magical botanical gardens to capture new footage that we are excited to share with you all in divine timing. This process was drenched in lessons and growth for both of us - one of the many reasons Good Rising Cacao is such an epic experience, we are forever students in this game and we wholeheartedly enjoy the journey of learning through the vehicle of a company, community and product we love so very much.

That’s a wrap on another wonderful week. Thank you for tuning in and for being here with us, we appreciate you all so very much.

Enjoy your days, join us on the socials for some fun announcements this week and we will meet you back here next week.

Much love,

Good Rising Cacao Team x
